Regret Message [RE-EDIT]

A FINISH STORY :D Inspired by a song; "Regret Message" (Hence the tittle) by Kagamine Rin. This is an Alternate Universe Version story, and plus I'm using my characters to fit it in which also their personalities fit the story very well too. And yes.. another old story. :I Enjoy.. :D

RE-EDIT THE POST: Ok.. maybe some of you noticed the "ARIEL" AND "KUMIKO" mistakes on the first post/time. Before you guys making any exclamation.. NOOOO I DO NOT COPY AND PASTE. This is purely written by me, sorry for the confusion.. Currently having a headache- but I don't think that will be a strong reason, but hey, not to worry, I do have another strong excuse; this story is a last year story and I change the Kumiko name to Ariel because I'm going to give this story to the school magazine :DD That time, I was really embarrassing to show my Japanese chara's name so yeah.. thats why.. :/ Hope thats clear everything!

TITTLE: Regret Message.
GENRE: Sorrow, Angst and Romance(?)

"Honestly, you sure are diligent." The voices that been said it appeared to be a female girl that stood behind a male just aside the sea shores. His short low ponytail of amber haired-boy heard the girl's voice as he averted his eyes from the sea shores and over his shoulder. A looking-replica of him with an exception of amber shoulder-haired girl stood with a smug look on her face. The male soften his golden eyes and gave her a smile despite the look that the girl gave to him- he was not offended by the girl's stare.
"There's no way something like that would make your wish come true, Adrian." The girl crossed her arms on her chest and still let her light chocolate eyes stared on this male named Adrian. Adrian never leaves his smiling face behind, "Would my lady like to try?" His voice asked with a gentle tone and kept on his stare firm as his mistress walked towards him and stood beside him now.
"Something that trivial doesn't even need me to try it." She replied in a way of heartless look in her amber eyes. Adrian's smile loose it shines and the girl continued again but this time, a smile replaces her smug features, "I mean. Isn’t everything I wish for going to be made true by you, Adrian?" Her grin widens and she eyed her loyal servant beside her. Adrian blinked his eyes with a surprised face and later chuckled at his mistress' statements.
Adrian set his feet’s upon nearing the sea shores and the bottle in his grip that he held all this time threw to the furthest he could. The bottle with a letter that had he always written his wish in it, splashed to the faraway seas as the waves continuously carried the bottle and unto the orange-flamed horizon. The amber-haired girl who sat silently at the beach, intently watching him as curiosity ran out of her mouth, "What are you always so honestly wishing for everyday, Adrian?"
The servant turned over his shoulder with those same softest smiles as he said, "I wish for Miss Kumiko's chest to grow very big!"
"Wha-?!" Kumiko's face colored with red and her chocolate eyes widen in fraction. In reflexes, she covered her chest with both of her arms. Adrian laughed at his mistress in amusement, "I'm just kidding. My exact wish is for you to be always happy, my lady."
Ariel sighed in annoyed way before stood up, dusting off some dusts from her light blue gowns and walked to Adrian saying, "Then, if you feel that way, always stay by my side, Adrian." Kumiko's gaze on the sunset of the horizon held such softness and finally carried those softness gazes on him, she continued, "Because, the times when Adrian near me is when I'm the happiest!"
Adrian's cheek colored with blushes and later smiled to her as he fixed his golden eyes to the seas, "Really..." He muttered quietly, "If that could happen, then I would relieve." Those were the greatest memories that Kumiko ever had in her life; she will treasure it deepest in her heart even so she knew that he is now gone forever from her life.
Years later..
Outskirts of the little harbor, there standing in the beach alone, Kumiko's chocolate eyes gazed at the sea with sadness and held the bottle of her wish close to her chest. She used to defy this method, she knew, and now she will used this method that she defy it, and wishing she could bring back the memories she treasured. How ironic she thought. She let out a bitter and sad tainted laugh.
"I never thought I'll do this..." She said to no one. Still held firm of the bottle, she clasped between it in her palms and let out her silent wish one last time. Taking a deep breath, she threw it to the furthest seas just like how he did and watched the bottle slowly drift away to the sunset's horizon. Watching the flowing wave carried her small wishes, she let out a small tear of regret, it's only then she realized her sins that she did at the past after everything was over.
"I'm sorry I was selfish, Adrian." she let out a quiet cry and slowly tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. "I'm sorry.." She dropped down on her knees, ignored the wet sea crashed into her feet, "I'm sorry..." She repeated her mantra before let out a scream mixed in tears, "I'm sorry!!" Flashbacks played in her mind, Adrian always there for her; he always did anything for her. The time when the townspeople gotten angry of her selfish authority, most of her servants ran off leaving her alone in that big dark castle. But Adrian, he's not running away.
She still remembered how Adrian gave her his clothes and said, "Wear my clothes and by the time I’m out of the building, run as far as you could and out of this country is even better.” Kumiko looked up with terror and fear in her chocolate eyes, "What? Why? How are you going to fight them?"
Adrian let out a small yet sad smile, "I won't fight them. Since we’re looked very much alike, I will take your position so you can get out of this mess.” Kumiko widens her eyes, "Y-you’re not going to that right?”
"I will do it if it's to protect you, my lady." He loosen the black ribbon that had been tied on his low ponytail, and let his slight long amber haired fallen. Indeed they looked very alike. "So stay here." He turned his back, picked up her favorite blue gown that was hang at the wall and walked towards the door. "No! Adrian!" Kumiko ran to catch him, but the male already went out of the room and locked the room from the outside. He sadly smiled at the sound of multiple knocks made by her and whisper to the wooden door knowing she will hear it for one last time, "Be happy for me, mistress."
Kumiko let out a chocking sobs and slammed her door countless, "No! Don't leave me! Don't leave me alone like the others!" She repeated again, and again. But beyond the door, her loyal servant walked forth and never to turn back.
After many moments of knocking and slamming the door, Kumiko shouted through her heavy tears despite her throat gone dry, "Adrian!!" She dropped down to her knees and cried harder, knowing he already left the building by now and let the townspeople had him in mistaking him as the selfish ruler that should be her before proceeding the greatest punishment that was meant for her entire life and not his.
His life ended just like that. Remembering this event made Kumiko in grief again as she clutched her chests for dear life, not wanting to see her bottle of wish had drift far away to the oceans.
‘I wish I could repeat the time once again, so that I could spend more time with Adrian as a family that I always wanted.’
But she knew it will never meant to come true for her after all those sins she had done. She will never get the chance to send this message to him. Her message of regret was the only left for her standing.
